Applications are now open for the 2025–2026 Knight Emerging City Champions (KECC) program!
Knight Foundation is proud to partner with 8 80 Cities to bring this fellowship to life. KECC supports rising civic leaders from Knight’s eight resident cities who have bold, creative ideas to strengthen their communities.
20 selected Champions will receive:
✔️ $5,000 in seed funding to bring their idea to life
✔️ $500 in tech support
✔️ A fully funded trip to Toronto, Canada, for a 3-day Studio
✔️ Ongoing mentorship, training and peer support
Eligible cities include: Akron, OH · Charlotte, NC · Detroit, MI · Macon, GA · Miami, FL · Philadelphia, PA · San José, CA · St. Paul, MN.
