Director of Development

Website Love Without Boundaries

Ask yourself this question: are you ready to help grow an incredible children’s charity which is changing the lives of kids each day? Love Without Boundaries (LWB) provides healing, education, and refuge to vulnerable children worldwide. We are looking for a Director of Development to grow and deepen our donor base so even more lives can be impacted.

We are looking for someone who can not only bring their fundraising experience and growth ideas to our nonprofit but can execute them as well.

You could be a great fit with our dynamic team if you are:

Currently creating and executing the fundraising plan for an organization doing at least 1 million dollars in revenue per year.
Able to learn new things quickly. We are a charity who moves at the speed of light when it helps children get emergency care.
You should have at least five years of experience in fundraising and development, with a proven ability to grow donor support and lead successful campaigns. At least somewhat in love with donor analytics and translating data to present to our leadership team.
Excited about building authentic relationships and sharing with donors all the great work for kids being done each day.
Willing to use a variety of communication channels in the workplace, including email, Slack, and WhatsApp, as they’re a big part of international communications around the world. If you absolutely detest a Gmail inbox, this is NOT the job for you.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The Director of Development will implement a comprehensive development program and establish long-range fundraising goals that reflect the organization’s needs and our partner’s priorities. The duties of the Director of Development include the following:

Support LWB’s mission by securing philanthropic support at every level.
Create and implement an ambitious, growth-oriented annual fundraising plan with the executive team to expand LWB’s donor base – growing both restricted and unrestricted revenues.
Create strategy and oversee all fundraising activities, including donor acquisition, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Write campaign appeals, grants and regular reports and communications to donors.
Provide oversight of fundraising-related communications and storytelling efforts and collaborate with our team to create donor and campaign collateral.
Work closely with the executive team and board leadership
Develop strategies and implement plans to identify, renew, and upgrade annual donors and play a lead role in developing new fundraising programs.
Build and maintain relationships with donors and other stakeholders; oversee stewardship activities; ensure an authentic, high-touch response to partners and donors.
Other duties, as assigned by the CEO.
This is a remote, work-from-home opportunity, with team members living all around the world.  It involves a full-time, flexible schedule but the right person must be readily available and highly responsive. Our work culture is fun and kind-hearted, and we work collaboratively to bring the highest impact to children in need. This position has the ability for travel to visit our international programs, but it is not required. There is also opportunity for professional growth as the organization grows and expands.

A Note About Our Team Culture:

Love Without Boundaries is a lean, highly collaborative team. We operate remotely across time zones, and every person plays a hands-on role in driving our mission forward. While we have incredible support from volunteers and part-time staff, this role does not come with a personal assistant. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and a strong doer—comfortable rolling up their sleeves to write, analyze, steward, and execute with excellence.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in the world and who can lead and execute all channels of the fundraising strategy, cultivate and steward major gifts, grow our revenue though new supporters, and deepen relationships with existing donors.

We would like to fill this position by September 1, 2025.

You must submit an individualized cover letter with your application. The letter should show us that you meet the qualifications listed above and demonstrate that you’ve done some investigation of us on your own. Since you will be the Development Director, we expect your cover letter will demonstrate your abilities by convincing us that you are the best candidate for the job. All applicants should send their cover letter and resume to careers@lwbkids.org in order to be considered for this job opportunity.
