PUBLIC ALLIES CENTRAL FLORIDA LEADERSHIP
Prita Chhabra, Site Director
Prita Chhabra’s mission is to create spaces where people can be empowered to find their voices and share their gifts to serve those who need them. She didn’t always know her life’s mission. After receiving her BA in Psychology, she pursued her dream of being a singer and made history as the first South Asian Artist to sing the Canadian and American National Anthems for the NBA, NHL, AHL and MLB. She has released many albums and videos and sang for Canada’s Prime Minister on Parliament Hill, Priyanka Chopra, Jay Sean and Russell Peters. In 2012 she won “Best World Artist” by the Toronto Independent Music Awards.
In 2013, she began her nonprofit career as an AmeriCorps Public Ally where she served as the HSHT Program Coordinator for Embrace Families. Singing enabled her to work with these kids in a unique way as she increased the number of students served by 200 percent and expanded the program to the tri-county area. Under her direction, her site won an award for excellence in programing in 2017.
In 2017, she was also honored with a full scholarship to Herzing University, where she earned her MBA. She released another song, “Unstoppable”, dedicated to the young adults she worked with, that won Best Music Video at the 2018 Melbourne Independent Film Festival.
In 2021, she was honored by the Orlando Business Journal as a 40 under 40 award recipient. She also received two awards from Embrace Families including The CREST Award, handpicked by the CEO of Embrace Families, for being the employee who consistently commits to the company mission and vision and makes significant and positive impact.
She currently serves at RISE Community Solutions as the Site Director for Public Allies Central Florida, giving back to the very program that changed her life. In 2023, PACF was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as a Diversity in Business Honoree. The highlight of her career has been singing “Unstoppable” at Hard Rock Live with kids living in the system of care. She enjoys creating leadership curriculum and trains C Suite executives, managers as well as supervisors working in nonprofits in the Central Florida community.

After graduating from Public Allies, Travis was hired to serve at Pathways to Home full time and returned to college. He began his service as a Public Allies Program Manager in March 2020, and is excited to facilitate the professional growth of individual Public Allies in this role.
In Late 2022/2023, Travis obtained his BAS in Business and Organizational Leadership along with several certifications including Nonprofit Management, Entrepreneurship, Business Operations, and Business Management.
