MILWAUKEE, WI – Public Allies is proud to announce the third renewal of its partnership with the NBA Foundation, reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing economic opportunity, workforce development, and leadership pathways for Black youth across the country.
Through this continued investment, the NBA Foundation is supporting Public Allies’ work to equip the next generation of leaders with the skills, experience, and networks needed to drive change in their communities. Together, the organizations are expanding access to paid apprenticeship opportunities, career exposure, and leadership development for people who have been historically excluded from systems of power and opportunity.
The renewed partnership builds on the momentum of previous years, during which Public Allies has deepened its presence in NBA market locations and strengthened partnerships with hundreds of nonprofit organizations nationwide.
Public Allies’ network of more than 10,000 community-rooted leaders represents organizers, policy shapers, and community builders centered in the values of collective leadership. Public Allies is currently expanding its program offerings beyond individual leadership development to build community power and advance systems-level change.
