Naomi Tannenbaum, Executive Director

Naomi Tannenbaum (she/her) is a nonprofit executive adept at developing organizational strategies, teams and programs for social change. A creative problem solver, she works to grow organizations on a national level and clarify and expand impact on a local level. Naomi believes that in order to create truly community-driven, equitable progress, we need new thought leaders who bring diverse experiences to the table, and new approaches that are community driven and just. Naomi has worked on an international, national, and local level to develop strategic partnerships, fundraise, create systems for organizational success, turn-around struggling programs, and ensure operational and financial accountability.

In all of her work, she emphasizes a collaborative style that also focuses on achieving organizational and individual goals. She uses her analytical ability not only to improve systems, but to assess organizational culture. She makes it a priority to build strong teams, and to evaluate for improvement and growth. And she does her best to consider both the broader landscape as well as the strengths of the organization as she works to develop strategies to maximize impact.

Naomi is a trained anthropologist, with certificates in conflict resolution, performance management, and coaching. She holds an M.A from the University of Virginia, and a B.A. from American University.

She incorporates her personal values of creativity, curiosity and exploring difference into her work, family, and community life.
