Website Americas Promise Alliance

The Senior Director of New Site Development is responsible for prospecting and launching our partner cities as a key component of our reimagined Alliance Community, ensuring our community becomes a powerful force for change in those partner cities.

Our Alliance is a “by us, for us” practitioners’ community which brings together the most inspiring

youth-supporting organizations and grounds our work together in the spirit of radical support among leaders and organizations. Ultimately, this community exists to (1) strengthen our individual organizations, (2) launch new collaborations, and (3) form powerful coalitions in pursuit of systemic change. We grow our community by recruiting (1) national nonprofits working in multiple communities across the country and (2) by establishing “Partner Cities,” where we enroll concentrations of local more proximate organizations that have not historically had the same access to national networks and supports, allowing us to impact outcomes in local communities, where the most impactful change often happen.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position will require a significant amount of domestic travel and is an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity to be responsible for launching multiple partner cities, building off of the strong momentum in multiple cities currently.

In its 25th year, America’s Promise Alliance is at a pivotal and exciting stage in its evolution, launching a comprehensive next chapter and new strategy. This position plays a critical role in the development and success of that strategy.
