Who We Are …
Public Allies manages a national network of over 10,000 civic leaders and change agents. We engage in development and community-building amongst upstart antiracist leaders, particularly those from diverse or underrepresented backgrounds (including BIPOC individuals and people from varied education levels, diverse socioeconomic statuses, nontraditional sexual or gender identifications, etc.). In the 30 years since our launch, we have operated in up to 24 locations throughout the country, places where our alumni―homegrown leaders―have committed to continued civic leadership.
Our leaders address critical community needs. They are securing greater resources for K-12 education, breaking barriers in public service, building coalitions across organizations and interests, helping heal the wounds caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and so much more.
